5 CHURCHILL'S SECRET ...WORLD EXCLUSIVE
Fredericton N.B. The Atlantic Advocate 1965 Paperbound Very Good 
88 pages, the February 1965 issue of the Atlantic Advocate containing a long illustrated story by Michael Wardell, a hitherto unpublished account of Sir Winston Churchill's first stroke in August 1949. Wardell had worked for Lord Beaverbrook on Fleet St and was an intimate of Beaverbrook. Beaverbrook was a close friend of Churchill's and this 10 page story reveals a great deal about their relationship. Two lines in ink on the pate of Churchill on the front cover which is a study by Graham Sutherland. The painting hangs in the Beavverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton as part of its Churchill collection.

Todd. The bothers had earlier founded the Ganong confectionary company and in 1884 dissolved their partnerships with the result that James became sole proprietor of the soap making business.
