blue cloth, gilt cover and spine, 217 pages,a clean, bright copy. a collection of short stories by the author of The Red Vinyard. riter. He is best known for his book The Red Vineyard (1928), which gives an account of his service during the First World War as a military chaplain. Murdoch enlisted and trained with the 132nd CEF Battalion (North Shore), and eventually served in England, France, Belgium and Germany. The much revered priest suffered from Post Tramatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Shell Shock as it was called at the time. As a result of his illness he lived almost half his life in seclusion in Bartibog, New Brunswick . A casuality of war -his illness misunderstood.
