When Dylan Thomas came to America in January 1950, he was thirty-five and at the height of his fame as one of the greatest lyric poets of the twentieth century. Dylan made four trips to America. On his final and fatal trip in 1953 his drinking reached uncontrollable proportions, all warnings went unheeded and he was rushed to hospital in a coma from which he never regained conciousness. He died at the age of thirty-nine. John Malcolm Brinnin was born in Halifax, N.S. and educated at the Univ. of Michigan & Harvard. Price:
